When you hold the handle the sensors initiate the weight to move forward towards the head and thus the iron falls flat on the surface of the garment laid for ironing and you also have a proper weighted iron for the purpose. Similarly when you leave the handle of this roly poly iron the weight rolls back to the base and hence the iron stands up slowly with the movement of the weight. It doesn�t immediately snap back hence there is no worry of any accidents.
